The Col de la Loze has been open to cyclists since 2019, yet it has already welcomed the Tour de France three times. Not bad for such a young climb!

Rising to 2,304 2,304 metres above sea level, a road reserved exclusively for bikes links Méribel and Courchevel (in either direction). No motor vehicles are allowed on the last ± 7 ±7 kilometres: a stunning natural setting, and at the top, breathtaking 360° views over the Alps. But this summit must be earned, with ramps above 20 % 20% and a truly unique ride—this is not your typical mountain pass, with gradients that never settle into a steady rhythm, right in the heart of nature. What more could you ask for?

That said, this climb isn’t only for seasoned athletes. On the day, you’ll need patience (pace your effort), determination, and a bike with the right gearing—or enough electric assist power.

Now in its 7th^th année consécutive, cette course Col de la Loze Challenge propose aussi un parcours qui ne va pas au col de la Loze, un 30 km, sur lequel nous avons l’honneur chaque année de bénéficier notamment de la participation d’une trentaine de curistes. Et Oui Brides-les-Bains est une station thermale et il était inconcevable de ne pas les impliquer dans cet événement.  Ces personnes en quête de perte de poids pour la majorité, reprennent une activité physique dans le cadre de leur dispositif de soins.  Quoi de mieux, qu’un défi vélo encadré !

Cette cyclosportive propose 4 parcours (117km, 53km, 46km et 30km), tous ouverts aux VAE, sauf le 117km. Le Col de la Loze doit être un rêve accessible au plus grand nombre.

Starting from Brides-les-Bains, the challenge is long—but the view from the top is so worth it. So go for it… with one main goal: enjoying yourself.
